I Provide Compassionate Counseling in Cortland NY to 2 Main Groups of People:
1
Those who have been suffering for a long time. I see people with a history of anxiety, depression, painful or abusive relationships, as well as those with past traumas and PTSD, including abuse.
2
Those having recent life or relationship problems. I also work with people who are having relationship challenges or who are dealing with a relationship breakup. Or, they might be having problems at work or feel they are lacking direction in their life.
Although I provide therapy to a wide variety of people, what they have in common is that they want help to feel better and to enjoy their lives more. They recognize that counseling is something that can help get them there faster than they could on their own.
Why Work With Me As Your Counselor?
I’ve been successfully providing therapy to people for over 30 years in Cortland, New York. I’ve helped hundreds of people during this time and learned a great deal about what it takes for people to change their lives.
My role as a therapist is to support and encourage you to take the steps you need to in order to have a satisfying life. During our counseling sessions, we’ll not only talk about your challenges and how to heal and change them, we’ll also focus on your strengths and how you can use them to your best advantage.
Research in counseling shows the relationship between counselor and client plays a major role in how people heal and make changes in their lives. To this end, I make every effort to hear and validate my client’s concerns, feelings and thoughts. The quality of our relationship is central to the healing process. Therefore, I make sure to follow your lead in helping you get what you need and want.
